Spy Shots: 2011 Dodge Charger & 2012 Durango/Magnum

Just before the NEW 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee hits the streets, Chrysler has started road testing the 2012 Dodge Durango/Magnum near the company's Auburn Hills, Michigan headquarters. It is expected that the next spy photos will be with some of the camouflage.

The New Durango/Magnum officially launches next year and expect it to be available with Chrysler's new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 (much like the new Jeep). The front end attributes are similar to that of the Ram pickup, and since the Ram brand has been spun off to house Dodge's truck offerings, don't be shocked if the new Durango falls under that umbrella. If development and testing continue at a steady pace, we'll likely get to see the finished product at either the 2010 Los Angeles or 2011 Detroit Auto Show.

The 2011 Dodge Charger has a more aggresive front end with chiseled lines that flow from the front fascia to the new hood. The powerplant is planned have an optional boost in power with a 6.4L HEMI SRT8 motor that gets better gas mileage than the 6.1 ltr and also about 25-35 more horspower(450-460hp). This is just a spy of the exterior but Ralph Gilles, Dodge brand chief, has said that the new interior will be “class-leading” with styling that matches the dramatic new exterior, we can’t wait!
